You may have noticed I haven’t been too active lately. I haven’t blogged, my Instagrams have been far spaced, and my Facebook even more so less.

The truth is I kind of took a step in the wrong direction last month, basically undoing any progress I had made with P90 back in July. Long story short, I abandoned P90, took up yoga for a few weeks, and made some poor nutrition choices. The end result? I’m feeling and looking slightly “fluffier”, not at all where I’d like to be coming up on 9 months postpartum.

Never let a stumble in the road be the end of your journey.

Essentially I no longer felt like P90 was the program for me. I needed less cardio, more strength training. Although cardio is a great way to burn calories, building muscle is the only way to permanently raise your metabolism. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn around the clock. With that in mind, I decided to go with Body Beast as my next program. It’s a 12 week muscle building program complete with an eating plan. I finished my first week last night, and I’m loving it! I always “feel the burn” two days after a workout, and boy did I feel my quads and biceps this past week.

Train like a beast to look like a beauty.
